Application area
The non-return dampers are designed to prevent backflow from Air Handling Units (ventilation units). This damper and the same system can also be used in other situations where it is necessary to ensure that there is no backflow of air.
Non-return dampers BFR have a rectangular cross-section with a flanged connection. Type BFC also has a rectangular cross-section, but contains circular connections. All blades operate in parallel via a mechanical link arm. The mechanism is designed to ensure smooth movement of the blades.
The seal around the blades reduces air leakage through the blades to an absolute minimum, while the blades ensure low pressure drop in the unit. Air leakage through the unit is negligible. The damper is designed to operate in horizontal, vertical-up and vertical-down positions.
Materials and dimensions
The non-return damper casing is manufactured in stainless steel AISI 316L. The plate thickness is 3 mm. The blades have a plate thickness of 1.5 mm with cellular rubber sealant. Both shafts and bearings are made of stainless steel.
