Bending is one of the most commonly used machining methods in the sheet metal industry. The vast majority of metal sheet types are well suited for both buckling and bending.

Nordic Steel has the market's newest and most modern CNC-controlled press brakes. The computer-controlled press brakes can solve the most complex bending tasks.

The bending method is characterized by having an upper part shaped like a "wedge" and a lower part shaped like a "V". The plate is placed over the lower part and the upper part is pressed down to one of the fixed positions in the bending machine. This is pre-set by skilled operators to ensure that the plate we process achieves the desired angle and quality.

When using a bending machine, we get precise bending angles and bending radius on the materials. Moreover, the bending machines are highly suitable for breaking thick plates.

We have two Amada press brakes (HFE 3i 4004) that bend with a force of 400 tons, and can bend up to four meters.

In 2025, we also received the fast electric press brake Amada EGB 130-3 ATC. It has no hydraulics, has 130 tons of bending force, automatic angle measurement, and is very environmentally friendly.

Our machines.

With modern machines, large quantities of special tools and experienced employees, Nordic Steel is ready to solve the most challenging tasks. We have varied machines, which gives us the opportunity to be as competitive on prototypes as on serial production.

We have several different machines for different purposes. Our largest bending machine manages to bend 15 mm thick steel in 4 meters in length. The maximum thickness of shorter parts is 25 mm.
