CarEye Capture

New technology checks the car for damage in seconds. It is made possible with tailor-made design and production from Nordic Steel.

- Nordic Steel has designed a flexible system that is tailored to our needs. We have a technology and equipment that has the potential to reach out to the whole world. It is now possible with the help of Nordic Steel, explains Rolf Seloter, founder of Wenn.

It was Wenn who first contacted Nordic Steel to discuss possibilities for the production of equipment for their new invention. A challenge that suited Norway's leading steel center very well.

- We received a positive answer immediately, that we will get this together. That is why we have a system that no one else has. Nordic Steel has specially made this for one, two, three, says Seloter.

The system is built in modules, takes up little space and is very flexible. This means that it can be used in many places.

Scans the car in record time

CarEye Capture works by using photo and AI technology to scan cars, to detect any scratches, damage and dents.

- The scan is done by the cars driving through CarEye Capture which automatically detects changes to the car. Injuries are detected in record time using technology. We have created the solution together with Wenn and put the entire system together in our production, explains William T. Boomer in Nordic Steel.

The modules are made of aluminum, with the use of precise laser cutting and buckling, before surface treatment and assembly. Nordic Steel has also contributed to the product becoming a completely local, ironic product.

- It was Nordic Steel that proposed to bring Robotic Innovation to the project. They have installed and built both a PC and a camera into the system, says Seloter.

Airports and car rental company

Wenn's CarEye Capture is technology that car rental companies, NAF stations, car dealers and garages can greatly benefit from.

The equipment is already in use for all car rental companies at Oslo Airport Gardermoen, it will be set up at several NAF stations throughout the country, and not least at Franz Josef Straus Airport in Munich. At this airport there is a rental of 600 cars per hour.
