Right on the waterfront in Hillevåg in Stavanger is the Consulens Brygge housing project. It was blocks BB4 and BB3 that were built first. Nordic Steel played an important role in the construction of both of the first blocks.
- "We have erected load-bearing steel on nine floors, provided roofing and roofing of the balconies on the lower floors of the first block," says project manager Robert Gunvaldsen of Nordic Steel.
The second block (BB3) is also nine storeys high and has 35 tons of bearing steel and 293 columns. The block has the same number of castings and size of roofing as BB4.
Nordic Steel's work on the first block was largely completed before the summer vacation 2021. In the fall of 2021, construction of the next block started, and Nordic Steel was awarded the contract for steel and roofing here as well.
- "Skanska is a very professional partner that we work well with. We were therefore very pleased to be able to continue on the second block as well," says Gunvaldsen.
- "We have a very good collaboration with Nordic Steel, who deliver as agreed and on time. This means a lot to us," says project manager John Inge Mathiesen in Skanska.
Consulens Brygge consists of four buildings with both apartments and townhouses. The first two buildings were completed in 2023.
