Nordic Steel has been involved in developing the outdoor area in the Skinansfjellet wind farm in Bjerkreim. Now we have also tested the hiking area, with great hiking terrain and views to the sea.
- The outdoor furniture is made according to the customer's wishes, especially for the hiking area. They are really solid and beautiful. At the picnic areas, there are benches , tables, fire pits and gapahuk with a roof. Elsewhere, there are viewing benches where you can just sit and enjoy the view, says Bjørn Erik Ualand, head of the transport and infrastructure department at Nordic Steel.
Together with colleagues in Nordic Steel, Ualand tested the hiking area in beautiful spring weather.
- It's so beautiful up here, and the trip is extra nice when you find new benches, picnic areas and viewpoints everywhere. This is a project we are happy to be part of!
The furniture is the same, but still different. Everything is put together in different modules, on a concrete foundation. The benches come with and without backrest. The furniture sets come with and without table.
- Everything can be put together in different combinations, completely according to the customer's wishes and needs. Furniture has been delivered here that is suitable for outdoor life and hiking, but we also make furniture for many different types of outdoor spaces, such as parks, urban environments and various public outdoor spaces. Everything is possible, it is tailored to your wishes, Ualand explains.
The outdoor furniture is made of galvanized and powder-coated steel. The wood is thermofuru, which is a good and environmentally friendly choice because it is heat-treated with water vapor, not with chemicals.
To Skinansfjellet wind farm, Nordic Steel has delivered modular furniture in several sets, gap huts, fire pits, hiking trails, fence splitters and binoculars.
