Application area
Lint filter boxes are designed to filter out lint. A fine-mesh steel grid filters the lint particles and collects them in a filter box. The filter box is easily accessible for both cleaning and replacement, and can be used while the system is in operation. Placement of the filter box can be either in vertical (VU/VD) or horizontal (H) airflow direction and is available with both rectangular and circular connections.
Materials and dimensions
Depending on the specified airflow, the common size range for the lint filter box is from 300 to 3000 m3/h. The material options for the boxes are aluminum and stainless steel, and they are designed for either fireproof or non-fireproof ducts, depending on the requirements. The recommended maximum pressure drop is 50 Pa and should not exceed 100 Pa above the filter box.
Alternatives
The filter box is available with several options, such as a pressure gauge (magnehelic type) for analog reading of pressure loss across the filter. Other pressure reading options can be supplied on request. In addition, fireproof duct connections can be supplied corresponding to NORSOK duct class F. Standard nipple connection is with EPDM rubber gasket, unless otherwise specified.
