– It has been a great pleasure to be involved in the development of the yellow boxes. We had to take a lot into account and the boxes are specially made for the TV program, says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.
The box had to be tall enough for an adult, have enough space inside, a seat to sit on and room for a camera and lights inside. Safety was a very important element. No edges had to be sharp, no one had to get stuck in the door or hit their head if they were to jump out of the box. The box also had to withstand lifting from a crane and helicopter. The doors are also remote-controlled, because they are to be opened simultaneously on all boxes. In addition, the boxes had to look good on TV, of course.

Participants in the program each have their own box that they start inside before each task in the program. The tasks are numerous, tough, logical and challenging.
– You will see the boxes in nature, in the city, on platforms and bridges, on top of buildings - and even in our production facilities in Bryne, says Lobekk.

Season two of Boksen is filmed in Rogaland, just like the first season, and the boxes are moved all over the county. They are designed to be easily dismantled and transported around. They are made of aluminum to reduce weight.
These are the same boxes used in season two that we created for season one of The Box.
– It's really cool to be part of a different project like Boksen, with familiar production requirements, but for different purposes than we usually do. We're also pleased that the program was recorded locally in Rogaland. The yellow boxes also look very good on TV, smiles Lobekk.
