This has never been done before

Together with Rogaland Teknikk, we at Nordic Steel present a system that can help change an entire industry. You must see this movie!

- It's almost too good to be true," says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.

- It's groundbreaking and has never been done before," says Simen Solberg Pedersen, mechanical engineer at Rogaland Teknikk.

The system is called Soft Landing System, or SLS. It is patented and developed by Rogaland Teknikk. The main goal of the system is to reduce injuries, which is particularly relevant for the offshore industry. Containers transported offshore must be lifted to and from supply boats, often in rough seas. When they hit the deck, the impact can be really hard.

Protects sensitive equipment

The dampers that make up the Soft Landing System protect the containers, and especially the sensitive equipment inside.

- Rough handling when lifting and moving equipment leads to injuries. This equipment helps to reduce downtime offshore," Pedersen explains.

Nordic Steel and Rogaland Teknikk can together deliver the system on all types of units and containers.

- It is suitable for all types of industries that have sensitive equipment. Everything from defense and aerospace, to aquaculture and the energy and offshore industry," says Børre Lobekk.

Nordic Steel builds all types of containers, according to all requirements and standards.
