- We are grateful and proud that our customers give us renewed confidence again and again, which supports the need for a serious, Norwegian steel center. The assignments are increasing and the size of the projects is increasing, and with a new building we can safely grow in teams with customers. It is in line with our strategy that we will grow and it is natural that we continue our investment in Bryne, says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.
Nordic Steel has all production gathered at Jæren. With the new building, there will be room for even more jobs. The new building will be adapted for up to 30-40 more employees, and provides a solid increase in capacity available to customers.
- Nordic Steel thinks long-term, we are an attractive workplace and will continue to be so in the future. The new building will be state-of-the-art and really adapted for tomorrow's industry, Lobekk explains.
It is only two years since the new head office of Nordic Steel was ready in Langmyra 6 in Bryne. Already the following year, another warehouse was built on the site. Now the production departments will have even more space, with approximately 3,000 new square meters, on the neighboring plot in Langmyra 5. This will be state-of-the-art premises with separate areas for welding and assembly / assembly.
A serious working life is an important part of Nordic Steel. Therefore, it was great that a machine operator at the excavation contractor Grunn-Service AS took the certificate on the new site in mid-January.
- Increased professional competence ensures seriousness and quality in working life. We have many skilled workers and take in apprentices every year, to build the workers of the future. The fact that the basic contractor on our construction site focuses on both apprentices and people with trade certificates is wholeheartedly supported by us, says Lobekk.
