Office in Ålesund

Nordic Steel has established an office in Ålesund to be closer to the maritime industry.

With Ola-André Synes on the team, Nordic Steel can as an equipment manufacturer add local expertise, as well as offer Norwegian production directly from the factory at Jæren.

"Nordic Steel adds certified welding to the industry, which there will be an increrasing need for in the future, also at Sunnmøre," says Ola-André Synes,sales manager for Nordic Steel in Ålesund.

The maritime industry is of high importance to the value creation in Norway and is a significant contributor to the Norwegian economy.

"We notice that Norwegian production, with particular emphasis on certification, documentation and greater delivery capacity, is an increasing demand from the maritime industry. Here we will be able to add value. At the same time, we want to demonstrate a clear presence for our customers, says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.

Knows requirements and quality

By having Nordic Steel permanently present at Sunnmøre, the company is close to the industry and are able to turn around quickly when the customer is in need of mechanical production. With years of experience, Nordic Steel knows what requirements are placed on quality and surfaces, both in terms of fish health, aesthetics and function.

Ola-André Synes has extensive experience from installations and projects in the maritime industry, both in Norway and abroad. Synes has for several years worked with procurement and production in the industry. With a permanent place of residence at Sunnmøre, the industry is now well taken care of with local expertise.

Norwegian production

Nordic Steel is a leading Norwegian centre of expertise in fabrication and steelworks with 100 employees and 7000 m2 of production facilities.
