Ever since 2016, Nordic Steel has had a framework agreement with Lyse Elnett for the production of doors and ventilation grilles. Now the Bryne company has gained renewed confidence in the coming years as well.
-We are very pleased with the confidence we have received with a new framework agreement, where quality and delivery precision from us as a local supplier is appreciated. We look forward to a continued close cooperation with Lyse Elnett," says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.
Nordic Steel was awarded the contract in competition with other suppliers. Nordic Steel's offer met Lyse Elnett's requirements for quality and delivery safety in a solid and competitive manner. The award criteria in the competition were price, quality and delivery time.
- We are very pleased that a local supplier won the competition, it makes it easy for us to provide input on the design of the product and changes directly in the production hall. We have previously experienced that such closeness to the supplier produces great end results," says Tore Lindberg, project manager at Lyse Elnett.
The financial scope of the framework agreement is a double-digit number of millions for the entire three-year agreement period, but with an option of 1+1+1 year. This is based on historical consumption and assessment of upcoming needs.
Nordic Steel will produce different types of doors and ventilation grilles for the grid stations. The doors must be delivered both to both new buildings and where replacement is needed. The products are made of aluminum and holds the highest quality in the industry. This is to be delivered:
-The doors and valves are easily recognizable, and I would assume that most people have probably seen some of them when traveling around Rogaland. Hundreds of doors and valves have already been installed around the region, and there is more to come," says a positive Børre Lobekk.
New to the agreement is that Nordic Steel's own installers will be able to install the doors and ventilation grilles on the grid stations. These can be found from Stavanger in the north, to Egersund in the south, and Hjelmeland in the east.
