Nordic Steel has a lot of customers and is involved in large projects in Eastern Norway. Now the time has come to take the company a step further with a permanent presence in Oslo.
- What triggered me is that everything from the request, execution and final documentation is highly professional in Nordic Steel. After many years as a customer and partner, I have seen the potential that lies within the group. I was taken seriously from the fist moment, says a committed Torjus Ulsaker.
He is Nordic Steel's new regional manager in Eastern Norway, with extensive experience from the construction industry, and a solid background from both AF Gruppen and Byggimpuls. In the Nordic Steel Group, he will be even closer to customers and partners in the eastern region, for the entire Nordic Steel Group.
Ulsaker will work for both the steel center Nordic Steel and the steel contractor Nordic Steel Construction. There will be great opportunities to solve several interfaces for the customer, both with equipment production, clean steel deliveries, installation of steel buildings and roofing.
Ulsaker got to know Nordic Steel through his work on the new National Museum in Oslo . For the project, Nordic Steel produced a specially designed suspension system for the facade for the AF Group.
- Everything from documentation, quality and HSE was in place without us having to ask for it. We experienced Nordic Steel as competitive in price, but in addition very attractive with their Norwegian quality production, Ulsaker explains.
Production takes place at Jæren, at Nordic Steel's new head office in Bryne. Here, environmentally friendly choices are made in all parts of operations. Environmental declarations (EPDs) can be delivered on all production. The fact that Nordic Steel also delivers on the provisions of the Oslo model, with skilled workers, apprentices, orderly pay and working conditions, is important for many players and a matter of course for the group.
- It is natural that Norway's leading steel centre establishes an office in Oslo and we look forward to creating added value for customers here as well. We are confident that customers will experience both Nordic Steel, Nordic Steel Construction and Torjus as positive contributors to Eastern Norway, says Børre Lobekk, CEO of Nordic Steel.
Nordic Steel's regional manager in Eastern Norway is already well underway with several projects. Ulsaker points out that the group has great potential for further growth and looks forward to being present for new and existing customers.
- I am humbled by the task of establishing an office for Nordic Steel in Oslo. At the same time, I think the market is ready for a serious industry player that I am very proud to be a part of, concludes Torjus Ulsaker.
