Norway's leading steel competence center will produce 200 tons of equipment for the fish farming facility at Indre Harøy in Møre og Romsdal.
– We are very pleased that we are once again given the trust of Artec Aqua on Salmon Evolution. We feel that the value we create, with experience, expertise and specialized production for the industry, is emphasized. The close and good cooperation we have had for several years now continues in construction phase two, says CEO Børre Lobekk of Nordic Steel.
Artec Aqua is one of the world's largest developers of land-based aquaculture facilities, and has already built the first stage of Salmon Evolution. The company is currently building stage two. Nordic Steel is proud to continue the collaboration.
– For the first construction phase, we delivered important water treatment equipment to the plant. We have now redesigned and further developed the same equipment together with Artec Aqua. In addition, we will deliver a complete ventilation system, says Ola André Synes, area manager for Nordic Steel in Ålesund.
Specifically, Nordic Steel will produce 12 DeGasso aerators in Duplex, of approximately 10 tons each, which will reduce the CO2 content in the operating water of the fish farming facility.
– CO2 is removed from the water by pumping it at a tremendous speed through the aerators. The technology from Artec Aqua makes it possible to reuse up to 70 percent of the water with this water treatment, explains Ola André Synes.
Knowledge of equipment and technology is essential to deliver at a level like this. Proper surfaces, function and quality are central to everything Nordic Steel makes for the industry.
– It is also a great vote of confidence to receive the contract for ventilation for the CO2 aerators. As a leading manufacturer in Norway of ventilation ducts and equipment, we look forward to contributing our expertise within this field as well, explains Børre Lobekk.
