Financially, Nordic Steel Group has established itself around half a billion. In 2025, the group's turnover reached 504 MNOK. EBITDA has grown from last year by just over 29 percent, from 45.9 MNOK in 2024 to 59.5 MNOK in 2025.
– The most important thing is profitability. We have never had such a good company as we have now. Nordic Steel is supported both financially, in terms of area, with a state-of-the-art machinery park, and we have the right expertise with all our good people, says CEO Børre Lobekk of Nordic Steel Group.

The Nordic Steel Group is strong and ready for the future. In 2025, new, major steps were taken to further build the group. As Norway's leading competence center within steel, we are proud to present these highlights from the year:
• Bergen Rustfri Industri AS became part of Nordic Steel Group. The company, known as BRIAS, is one of the leading steel processing companies in the western region.
• We have purchased significantly more machines, and through BRIAS the group can also offer new methods (water cutting) and material qualities (titanium) to our customers.
• Put even more area into use, especially in Breimyra, the new plot we purchased in 2024
• Received renewed trust from customers in several industries. New contract with Statnett, on the cable tunnel between Sogn and Ulven, follows the Smestad-Sogn project that we delivered in 2022
– We have expanded our expertise and capacity, and it is great for us to be able to offer the market's very best solutions, for all types of projects. All customers, suppliers and partners should be confident that Nordic Steel is constantly developing and that we represent quality, says Lobekk.
Bergen Rustfri Industri AS is one of the Bergen region's leading mechanical companies. They have delivered quality to customers in all industries since 2010, from Ågotnes in Sotra. In 2025 they became part of Nordic Steel Group, but continue as a separate company.
– BRIAS is very skilled, and runs their company well. Now they are also getting expertise and extra capacity from Nordic Steel, and we have gained useful expertise from them, including in titanium welding.
Nordic Steel wants to create value in close collaboration with its customers, and to do so, we must be present where our customers are, with professionals that our customers can trust. The extended Vestland region is an attractive area to live and work in, and an exciting market to be a part of.
– Now, together with BRIAS, we will continue to build on Norway's leading competence center within steel. Our joint capacity will provide real delivery capability and security for customers in all industries. Since the start, we have invested in Norwegian industry and this is a clear signal that we intend to continue this investment in the future, explains Lobekk.
In 2025, Nordic Steel Group invested tens of millions in new machinery. This was done to be ready for growth, but also to increase efficiency in the departments that use the machines. “We want to offer our customers the best solutions in the industry, and we do that with a machine park that is at the very top end,” explains Lobekk.

Of the new machines, we are talking about electric press brakes, with the latest in technology and precision. We have purchased many new welding machines and equipment for pipe welding. In welding, we have also purchased and implemented laser welding, which welds extremely accurately, and is useful for the production of many and similar parts.
BRIAS complements Nordic Steel in several ways. Waterjet cutting is a method for cutting materials both gently and precisely. In addition, it can cut thick materials, up to 330 millimeters.
Nordic Steel Group has a total of 42,000 square meters of production space. When BRIAS became part of the group, the area naturally increased, but even more space has also been taken into use at the head office in Bryne.
In 2024, Nordic Steel acquired Breimyra 5, which is the neighboring property of Langmyra 5 and 6, where the company has been located since 2019. Parts of the Breimyra property were then taken into use, and parts of it were leased out. During 2025, we have taken the buildings into use to an even greater extent, and several departments have been given more space. The assembly hall is large, efficient and functions for line production. An additional room has been taken into use for welding carbon steel. HVAC production has been given more space. Logistics and goods delivery have moved to the terminal building that is part of Breimyra, and has been given more space.
– Everything that goes into area and capacity has become even better, and we are big enough in every way for further growth, says Lobekk.

Nordic Steel has also worked on a very large number of projects in 2025. The largest segment we delivered to in 2025 was oil and gas (order intake: 43.1 percent), with construction (order intake: 22.4 percent) as the second largest. For oil and gas, we delivered, among other things, 70 tanks with frames to a customer for offshore waste management.
The largest project we worked on throughout the year was production for Statsbygg, for an advanced flow basin for the Norwegian Ocean Technology Center. Here, an enormous amount of components have been produced and will be assembled.

– We also received a large contract with Statnett, where we will deliver 250 tons of steel racks for a high-voltage cable tunnel between Sogn and Ulven in Oslo, says Olaug Byberg Skartland, project manager at Nordic Steel.
The year 2025 has also been characterized by a lot of competition in the industry, and the project manager sees that many prices are lower to get orders. Nordic Steel has also noticed that the competition is greater. – We have seen that many customers have spent time placing orders. But we are lucky to have stable and good customers who come back to us again and again, says Skartland.

Of other segments in 2025, we delivered 16.5 percent to transportation and 8.2 to renewable energy. Miscellaneous projects were 0.2 percent. Aquaculture is a stable and good industry, with an order intake of 9.6 percent in 2025. For this industry, we deliver pressure tanks, water treatment systems, advanced tanks, with many systems and functions inside. We are often involved in solving challenges for our customers.
– Many projects get attention because there is something new or developed in it, and a solution that no one has seen before. But we are not a company that only does those things. We are the best at most things, from containers, to tanks, cabinets and steel structures. That is most of what we do. We still do everything, also for smaller customers, but we have the large, complicated projects too. That is what makes the work at Nordic Steel so unique, concludes Olaug Byberg Skartland.
